The TBC date has now been announced at Sepang, and a new name joins the permanent entries
Preparations for the 2026 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup are in full swing, with the milestone six-round season across Asia ready to commence. The full calendar and entry list are now confirmed, with the previously TBC Round 3 set to take place at the Sepang International Circuit on 31st July-2nd August alongside the Malaysian Superbike Championship.
In addition, Indonesian rider Resky Yusuf will join the grid as a permanent rider this season following a successful pre-season test, meaning 20 riders from six countries will compete for the ultimate prize. It brings the total rookies to 15 this season, while returning riders will target the title once more in 2026.
Racing gets underway in Thailand at the end of February (27th February-1st March) before Round 2 takes place in Qatar (10th-12th April) as the Cup joins the MotoGP paddock for the opening two rounds.
After a short break, Round 3 gets underway at Sepang as the Moto4 Asia Cup joins the Malaysian Superbike paddock (31st July-2nd August) for that now-confirmed date. It’s then a busy end to the season in October as the riders once again race alongside the MotoGP paddock in Japan (2nd-4th October), Indonesia (9th-11th October) and at the season finale in Malaysia (30th October-1st November).
